I took the train from Kazan to Yekaterinburg, which involved crossing two zones. Yekaterinburg is roughly one-thousand miles from Moscow and sits in the Ural mountains on the continental divide. I spent the afternoon with my new friend Jiang. Jiang is a Physics PHD traveling from Europe to China for a job. We met in Kazan and happened to be in Yekaterinburg for a day together. We made it a point to stop at one of the few Starbucks in this part of the world so I could purchase a Yekaterinburg Starbucks City Mug to add to my collection. They were not on display when we got there, however I asked if the had any in stock and they were able to produce one for me!
This video is with Jiang and I briefly discussing the conditions in Yekaterinburg.
